Coffee enema and its side effects (part I)

Coffee enema is a very common herbal remedy which has been suggested by alternative health care practitioners for past so many years. This very easy found ingredient has the ability to help the liver in performing the detoxification of our system. When you undergo the coffee enema procedure the coffee gets expelled with the accumulated toxins which could have been got deposited in our body over a period of time.
Basically coffee enema is a herbal procedure of inserting the coffee solution into the anus to clean the rectum and the small intestine. It was conceived many years back in 1917 by Merck Manual. Later sometime in 1920s some of the German scientists explored the effects related to coffee solution on the small intestine and bile ducts. It was found by them that the caffeine content in coffee solution could open the bile ducts and stimulate the liver to produce bile which was initially experimented on the animals.
Sometime during 1940s and 1950s the healing effects of coffee enema was further explored by Dr. Max Gerson to treat the cancer patients.
