How often one need to perform coffee enemas to a great extend depends on what the individual goals may be. In general, coffee enemas are used on regular intervals for the process of liver detoxification. For the first few months it is normally an intensive regimen and it is used on regular intervals of 8 hours a day. It is believed that when it is used as a retention enema, coffee enemas does not pass through our digestive system and does not cause any negative effect on out body as a coffee beverage does. Basically, the coffee solution stimulates both the liver and gallbladder to release the unwanted toxins, and there by facilitates in flushing them out of our body.

But you need to understand that high or over use of coffee enemas over a period of 6 months may cause anemia due to the depletion of iron, minerals and vitamins stored in out both. One should not use coffee enemas for more than four months at a time.
