In case you want to opt for a colon tube with your enema bag, the pencil-shaped enema tip is a better choice which can be easily used as a connector to attach a colon tube to the hose. It will put in an extra 30 or 50 inches to the hose, and the colon tube will double as a nozzle.
In terms of capacity, it is better to go for three quart to four quart capacity of enema bag. The bigger the better because smaller enema bags will have to be refilled couple of times and it will be inconvenient.
It is also recommended to use stainless steel cans or silicone bags. Though there are various varieties of enema bags available in the market these days such as latex rubber, plastic materials, Indian rubber and more. Enema bags made of rubber, latex and plastic are not considered too safe since they are made of toxic materials. It can have side effects on people who are chemically sensitive. Not only that over a period of time such materials do outgas and it may lead it to end up in our body. Outgassing generally happens when certain gases are trapped in an object and then begin to slowly release. Hence from the health safety point of view it’s better not to compromise on the quality of enema bag which you purchase.
