The overall effect of consuming coffee enema is not the same as the coffee we drink on daily or regular basis. Since the veins of the anus are very close to the surface of the tissue hence the caffeine gets easily and quickly absorbed compared to the coffee consumed by us.

Basically coffee enema consists of caffeine and it is the combination of theophylline and theobromine content in caffeine which helps to stimulate the relaxation of smooth muscles causing dilation of blood vessels and bile ducts.

The coffee enema solution is first absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein and afterwards taken by the portal vein to the liver. After the bile ducts get dilated, the bile takes the toxins into the gastro intestinal tract. Concurrently the peristaltic movement is encouraged due to the flooding of the lower colon, hence when the colon gets evacuated the unwanted toxin and bile are taken out of our system and this leaves us with a less toxic and healthier liver.
