The symptoms of colon cancer in women generally depend on the position of tumour in the bowel. It also depends to some extend on whether it has spread anywhere else in the body which is also termed as metastasis.

In general the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer in women may be seen in other minor diseases as well.

They are basically categorized into local symptoms, constitutional symptoms and metastatic symptoms. The constitutional symptoms tend to affect the whole body while metastatic symptoms are caused by spreading of tumour to other body organs.

The basic and the most important symptoms of colon cancer in women is rectal bleeding. It can also include blood in the stool.

Another common symptom of colon cancer is a change in bowel movement or pattern. A woman with colon cancer can either experience constipation or diarrhea.

Some women may experience digestion related issues which can manifest when suffering from colon cancer. It may also include nausea or vomiting.

A woman suffering from colon cancer, will experience a certain amount of fatigue and also loss of weight. This could be caused to a great extend due to increased amount of calories being burned due to the tumour and it is also linked rectal bleeding or blood in the stool.
